OLIMAC DRAGO

More than 70 years of experience in maize harvesting technology.

DRAGO 2 and DRAGO GT combine Olimac’s patented automatic deck-plate system, extra-long stalk rollers and a low-profile design. GT adds damped deck plates, full gear drive and a crop-flow system designed for higher throughput.

DRAGO TECHNOLOGY

katrai rindai On both DRAGO 2 and DRAGO GT, each row’s deck plates adjust automatically and independently to stalk diameter.
up to +25% On both models, stalk rollers are up to 25% longer, reducing rotational speed and providing gentler ear separation.
500 mm The DRAGO GT 500 mm cross auger maintains even crop flow at high output and high forward speed.
4 clutches / row The drivetrain units on each DRAGO GT row are protected by four differently calibrated clutches.

MODELS

DRAGO 2 un DRAGO GT

Both models feature Olimac’s patented self-adjusting automatic deck plates and extra-long stalk rollers. DRAGO 2 focuses on low power demand, simple maintenance and reliability; DRAGO GT adds damped deck plates, full gear drive, higher crop throughput and broader drivetrain protection.

DRAGO 2

DRAGO 2 is an efficient and reliable platform with patented automatic deck plates, a low working angle and low power demand. The design is intended for straightforward maintenance and minimal wear.

  • automatic self-adjusting deck plates with no operator adjustment;
  • longer stalk rollers for gentler ear separation;
  • 18° working angle and low profile for lodged maize;
  • main gearbox on each row with hardened-steel bevel gears;
  • slip-clutch protection on every row;
  • modular construction and fast access to components for maintenance.

DRAGO GT

DRAGO GT retains the same automatic deck-plate and long stalk-roller concept, adding damped deck plates, full gear drive, a 500 mm cross auger and four-clutch protection on each row.

  • patented automatic deck plates with additional damping and a more precise spring system;
  • stalk rollers up to 25% longer for gentler ear separation;
  • 500 mm cross auger with gear drive for high crop flow;
  • low working angle and tapered gathering chains for lodged maize and less stalk material entering the combine;
  • full chainless gear drive; each row unit protected by four differently calibrated clutches;
  • optional Double Stalk Chopper Scissor Effect with four counter-rotating blades per row.

DRAGO GT · CROP FLOW

The DRAGO GT crop path is designed for gentler ear handling.

01

Automatic deck plates

As on DRAGO 2, the GT deck plates on every row automatically and independently adapt to the stalk diameter. No operator adjustment is required while working.

02

Damped deck plates

The GT automatic system adds spring damping to soften ear impact. In dry conditions, the manufacturer states shelling losses can be reduced by up to 80%.

03

Longer stalk rollers

Lower peripheral speed allows gentler ear separation while efficiently pulling the stalk down beneath the header.

04

500 mm cross auger

The large-diameter gear-driven cross auger provides continuous crop flow at high output, narrow row spacing and high forward speed.

05

Full gear drive

The standard GT drive is chainless. Spiral bevel gears provide efficient, quiet power transmission with low drivetrain losses.

06

Four-clutch protection

Each GT row is protected by four differently calibrated slip clutches; a shear bolt provides the final level of protection.

DRAGO GT · DRIVE SYSTEM

Full gear drive with minimal maintenance.

The standard DRAGO GT drivetrain is fully chainless and uses gear transmission. Depending on configuration, the sealed oil-bath transmission units require no regular oil changes.

No regular oil changes Sealed oil-bath transmission units are designed to operate without regular oil changes.
Full gear drive The standard GT drive is chainless, with efficient power transmission to the row units.
4 clutches per row Differently calibrated clutches protect specific drivetrain units; a shear bolt provides additional protection.

MATCHED TO YOUR MACHINE

Configurable for combines and self-propelled forage harvesters.

DRAGO GT and DRAGO 2 are available for the most common combines and self-propelled forage harvesters. When ordering, we select the correct mounting, drive, row count and row spacing.

  • adapters for different combine makes and mountings;
  • configurations for self-propelled forage harvesters;
  • in selected cases, one header can be used on different carriers with the appropriate adapter;
  • an Olimac Connect solution is available for CLAAS Jaguar to use combine-type headers;
  • individually configurable transmissions and couplings.

CONFIGURATIONS

Row counts and configurations.

Both platforms are available with row spacing from 50 cm, in fixed and hydraulically folding versions. The configuration is matched to the carrier and harvesting task.

Fixed or folding

Fixed and hydraulically folding versions are available for easier road transport.

Row count

DRAGO GT: 4–24 rows. DRAGO 2: 4–18 rows. Row spacing is available from 50 cm.

Stalk chopper

A stalk chopper is optional on both models. DRAGO 2 uses an efficient two-blade system; GT is also available with the patented Double Scissor Effect solution.

For sunflower

A sunflower kit is available so DRAGO can also be used for sunflower harvesting.

Automatic levelling

Sensor kits help maintain header height and position in changing field conditions.

Tyre protection

The stalk pressing kit pushes stalks down to reduce the risk of combine tyre damage.

For hilly fields

Ear-stopping elements and transmission solutions are available for fields with large elevation changes.

Custom solutions

Olimac has a dedicated department for developing special header configurations for specific customer requirements.

DRAGO FOR YOUR MACHINE

We will configure a DRAGO header for your combine, forage harvester and workload.

We will assess the carrier, row count and spacing, required chopping, folding frame and adapters, then prepare a DRAGO 2 or DRAGO GT specification for the specific task.
